Rev. Dr. Paul Wood will speak on “Division and Bloodshed: South Carolina Enters the American Revolution.

Paul will tell us about the tensions between the coastal elite (the “Rice Kings”) and the residents of the Backcountry, major events in 1775 and 1776 such as the establishment of Patriot rule. He will also describe the taking of Fort Charlotte.
