Written accounts of Blythewood's history.

Dargan Broome:

At 87, Dargan Broome remembers
Blythewood as a business and
farming community with dirt roads, syrup mills,
farms, a dime store and, of course,
its close families. To read an account of his
recollections, please click here.

H.B. McLean Sr:

H. B. McLean Sr.'s life spanned Blythewood's development
from a sleepy depot stop to a vibrant bedroom community.
He gathered information about  Sandy Level Baptist Church,
the Blythewood depot, and shares information about his life
in Blythewood. This diary is contributed to the Blythewood
Historical Society by his children. You can read it here.
